Your Weekend Texture & a New Film
Sun, January 29 and the Give Away Winner Announced......

I have a new texture for you to try today.
Today's texture is called 'organic'....

I used it on the image above. I also used the latest texture from Beyond Layers, called 'plaster squared'..... I really like it too.... Beyonders, I see you are making magic with it.... Wonderful stuff. It's all so fabulous. Looking for inspiration? Check out the Beyond Layer's Flickr group.... So good.
Here's my recipe for today's rose image..... I converted the image to black and white.... then added 2 layers of plaster squared. One layer at 100% soft light and another layer at multiply 37%. I then added a levels adjustment to balance the light... I added today's texture organic, rotated 90 degrees, at soft light 100%. And finally a hue/sat adjustment to reduce the yellows just a smidge.
Texture Lovin' Listers, the download link is coming your way. Not on the list, please feel free to sign up HERE.
One more sample photo....

I filmed the texture making process......and put it together with some lovely music. If you'd like to take a peek....
just a note...I toned down the yellows in the texture after I uploaded the video.... so the video image is slightly more saturated than the final 'organic' texture.
Before I sign off... the winner of Ruby Love's beautiful camera joy necklace is Linda Owens. Congrats to you Linda..... and thanks again Ruby Loves for hosting this fabulous give away.

p.s. the art of texture class registration is open.... click HERE for more info.

Thanks!
Thank you.
BTW, I was in a huge antique store in Medina, Ohio today. Two typewriters, gazillion apothecary bottles, and a cast iron saw table base (1800's) that's been restored obviously, with a 1900 farmhouse solid oak table top, $795. I'm going to make an offer on it and I don't care if they won't budge on the price, I'm buying it!
I'm so inspired! I couldn't my own listerine bottle but I bought a cottage cheese bottle, never seen one before . I'll 'shoot' it, texture it and put on Texture Tuesday.....................................
Thank you so much. :)
