Warm Air and Sunshine.... So Good for the Soul.

Hello friends,

I've been working like mad on the content for our new eCourse, Behind the Scenes. It's all soo good. We are super excited about the mix of inspiration and practical hands on info!!

Seriously..... such an exciting time.

I love being able to sit on the porch and let the ideas just flow... Summer is short in our little world... I gotta soak it up.

Plus Ben loves the outdoors.... He just lays on the step, completely 'open'....while I work... watching the world go by.

I've been writing class notes in this journal...... I always start a new journal for each new project. I love looking back and seeing how it all came together.

How about you? Are you still making notes  the old-fashioned way... pen to paper.... or are you 100% digital? I'd love to hear.

Oh, if you are digital writer... you may already know about this... but if not... check out Ommwriter... it's BRILLIANT....

I think I will always appreciate a nice notebook and perfect pen.....  ya know? In fact I have a little hoarding issue.... My boys say I could supply the whole school with pens, paper and anything other supply necessary... 'smile'.... If you've been popping by for awhile you may know this already..... I tend to be a great source of jokes and entertainment for this house of boys.... It's mostly in good fun.... thankfully...

Oh, the class sounds interesting. I'm going to have to check it out ;) :)

I still like to take notes with pen on paper. In fact, I usually use a hardcover composition book or a Moleskin notebook :) :) They look cool and it's just fun to write on paper :)

I love journals for writing! I love to find unusual ones with cool covers. I am a pencil person though, always have been. I love a really sharp point, so I even took our automatic pencil sharpener on vacation with us. I have enough pencils to last a lifetime :)

lol, Ben's censorship request made me smile! How wonderful to be able to sit on your porch while you do your work...I'm afraid I've become too used to my computer keyboard and rarely write things by hand anymore. It makes me kind of sad, actually, that the art of handwriting is slowly fading away. Your photo is so lovely...I'm looking forward to your new class, Kim!

Well... I'm a pen-paper-notebook kind a' person too... I can't pass a shop with pens, paper and stuff like that, without popping in and I mostly have a really hard time not buying anything. Just this afternoon I saw a really nice set of notebooks, just plain pages, nothing special but with covers available in about all colors of the rainbow, and with just one simple line written on it, going from "The writers I met and liked" - "The photographers I met and liked", to "The secret agents I met and liked" :-) Fun!
I've done what I so often do, walk away without buying one, but I'm sure I'll go back to that new discovered store one of these days.... Not that I need one, I've got about 4 blanc species waiting. It's just ridiculous.

I treasure my pens, but my favorite one is a wine red Mont Blanc my husband gave me as a birthday gift years ago. And when I've misplaced a pen, no matter what, I will find no rest until I found it.
I'll share a pen secret with you. I have that "pen-issue" already since a was a child. Once I had seen such a really cute pen in the book store, but I was sure my mom would say: well, that's fine, but you don't need another pen. So, I hid my pen underneath my books in my schoolbag and told her I lost it (!!).
She bought me the new pen, a turquoise mini sized Parker. Weeks later I "found" my old pen back and said "hey mom, you know what..." Terrible, isn't it??

And although I do a lot digital, writing just feels more natural to me and has a more fluent flow.... (hope you know what I mean).
