A Most Fabulous Day
It was Wednesday, June 29th.
3:00 and I was ready to go….. I pulled my camera bag out of the cupboard….and proceeded to pack up my beloved nikon and a few fav lenses.
I took Ben across the street to Grandma's and patiently waited for John to get home from work.
We had plans to visit a friend….a friend many of you already know and love…..Yeppers, the fabulous PG - Prairie Girl! I was bursting to take pics of her beautiful country place….and John was happy to come too! He loves PG's gardens. And of course we both just love PG....
We hopped in the Escape and headed out of town…zooming down the highway.....onto the country roads.... around, down, up, and over... finally... there we were... cruising down PG's lovely lane.... anticipation growing ..... bursting to see all the loveliness....
'sigh'
We finally arrived.
Another happy, happy 'sigh'.
And my oh my…. there was so much to see.
Today I wanted to share snippets of PG's beautiful yard…. snippets of our beautiful day.....
Everywhere I turned there was loveliness… filtered by extraordinary light. Honestly... I can't really explain it...but it's a beautiful thing. :)
Here's John...quizzing PG about one plant or another.... sweet Ollie at her feet. :) And this little birdhouse.... I mean... seriously... how fabulous... made by PG herself.... of course!! She's a hands-on kinda girl....
Little pieces of loveliness sprinkled every which way you turn....and the light... Have I mentioned the light?
And you all know how much I love texture.... well... PG's place is texture heaven.... seriously... beyond!
Okay I will quit jabbering and just let the pictures tell the story......
Burst of sun....right before my eyes..... 'sigh'
And the red of this old shed..... 'be still my heart'.....
oops... I said I would stop talking.....
Oh my gosh....the sweet fuchsia plant! Beautiful.
I so wish I snipped a few of the painted daisies? Ugh... silly me. :)
Aren't they just so sweet....and happy?
And oh...by the way... the brick paths....which were here, there and everywhere....PG laid them herself!! Seriously... how amazing is that?
Heck, I can't stop jabbering... there's just so much to say!

another of PG's fabulous creations...... in front of her studio (which by the way.... some day may be painted deep country red).... sitting pretty on the beginnings of yet another garden she is planning. :)
The front porch...... sweet little wreaths were hanging everywhere... (made from virginia creeper.... how fab is that?)

Heaven on Earth... 'sigh'
As you can see... there's so much beauty..... I do believe I will need to do a part 2, and maybe even a 3!
And get this.... 'sigh'.....
I was inside PG's studio, had just started taking pics..... when I realized my camera card was full and I didn't bring a spare. I totally forgot to bring an extra one! Ugh.......
Wait till you see her studio! And there's more loveliness to share.....so much more.....
So I will head back soon to take more pics... armed with extra 'memory'....

or a nice cup of tea to enjoy on the porch ~ always welcome ... : )
btw ... i am not preggers (that dress is less than FLATtering, but nice and cool after a day of digging ... ; )
