Hello lovelies,

How are you? Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend? Me.... not soo much... but that's okay. I LOVE quiet weekends.

Today is Bryce's 20th Birthday.... wondering how on earth my baby is 20? Wow... what a ride we have had... :) Happy Birthday Bryce. Dinner tomorrow...to celebrate.

This morning I took a little time to jot down some soon-to-come-true dreams..... I thought I'd share a few with you....and maybe you would like to share back? Are you in?

It's always fun to write down our wishes and aspirations... But I also love noting the gifts I have received.... as well as the upcoming things I'm excited about.

My Anticipation List

1. Shutter Sisters Oasis at the Ace Hotel! Are you kidding me? It's going to be so freaking fabulous!! Can NOT wait.... I'd love to see you there!
2. A quick trip to California.... Oh my....  so excited.
3. Plans to teach in real life. Could this really be happening? Seriously? 
4. A collaborative eCourse that's still in the spin stages.... but I do believe the dust is about to land....and the ideas will be solidified soon.
5. A New camera....Painfully back-ordered...but coming soon.....I hope... Pinch me. 

That's just a little snippet of the goodness in my world......

Trust me...it's not all sunshine and roses...dreamy and white.... There's plenty of real-life happening around here. Believe me!! I once had someone ask in an email if I ever had a bad day? Something about.... Is there no negative allowed in your life at all? I had to laugh at that..... Are you kidding me? There's been plenty... and each day brings unique challenges. I just choose to focus on the good most of the time. In particular I try to stay positive in my creative life. But believe me.... I have plenty of bad days... Just ask my family....

love your photo today...and your sharing of dreams...can't wait to hear more about teaching in person...I was excited about Shutter Sisters...and then I saw the cost...not possible at this time...the house needs painting this summer instead...but I have a few irons in the fire...and am enjoying Beyond Layers (I think we need our own get-together!) enjoy the birthday celebrations tomorrow...

Kim, I have not worked in a public job since June of 2011. I resigned from my teaching job and was then injured in a fire. It has been a long road to healing, but I am almost "there," thanks to a whole bunch of people and things and the entire universe coming together. On Friday, I had an interview with the head mistress of the private school where I began teaching 32 years ago. When I left five hours later (heavens, no, the the interview did not last that long!), I had a long term sub position for the next nine weeks, and I will probably be teaching there in the fall. So, one of my dreams to be back in the work force has happened. While I'm working full time, I'm also "growing" an education consulting business and hope to book at least one session this summer. I'm getting there. Next, there's the dream of getting my young men settled in their chosen careers. One will be off to be a band director in either a middle or high school; the other is off to the Marine Corps with basic at Parris Island, SC. That's not that far away from home, but for 13 weeks, he will be out of touch. But I am proud of them both. Last, my husband and I might actually get to know each other again!

Those are not the most earth-shaking and awe-inspiring dreams right now, but I want a quiet life for awhile.

One small dream was to start a blog that people might look at. Posted my first post on November 11th and just had my 5,000 view of the page today! I am so thrilled! It has really started to pick up speed! Very exciting!

I love your dreams - thank you for sharing them with us. It is often difficult for me to share dreams... I hope for you that your dreams will come true, I know that you work so hard for them to become real.

My biggest dream at the moment is - to get the house that we love. We're still renters and have finally, after having lived for almost 11 years in the US, decided to buy a home of our own. We've found the perfect one last year, made an offer - and it was pulled off the market. Now it is coming back on the market, and we put all our hopes and wishes in there - cross your fingers, please! This would be our very first own home (and we're well into middle age)...

Kim, just found your new site today through another blog. You were/are my favourite primitive artist. I have a few of your prints throughout my home. The coolest thing ever though is that my husband was born in Rivers in 1967 when it was a military base. Small world.
