{Texture Tuesday} The 'Do' eDition & a Give Away
Tue, September 13 mouse over to see the before

We're back with another Texture Tuesday!
This week... we're talking action! We're talking 'do'!
But, did you hear? I added a little and/or to the 'DO' theme...
I thought the whole Do challenge was a fabulous idea last week....and I had all kinds of possiblities in my head....then the craziest week ever went down....and my ideas went right on down the drain with the week....
So in order to save my butt... I added the and/or part....
Allow me to sum it up again....
This week's TT theme is as follows:
- As always, your image must contain one layer of any of my textures.
- Your image may contain one layer of Autumn Burst and/or center around the verb DO.
And because today was even crazier than the last week.... I had to dig an image from the archives.....
I added 2 layers of Autumn Burst at soft light 100% and one layer at multiply 22%. Then I added some wise words.... please note the word 'do'...
'sigh'.....
Anyhow, the very wise words in my image, are from a favorite manifesto!
I've admired this poster forever.... I think I shared it here before.......
Have you seen it? Please, take a moment and read the very powerful words!!

Isn't that good stuff?
I just placed an order for one tonight!! So excited!
Give Away Time...
I would love to have one shipped to a lucky TT'er.....
Sound good?
To enter you must DO 2 things.
- please leave a comment below sharing something you absolutely LOVE TO DO!
- and enter an image into this week's Texture Tuesday Link up! Be sure to follow our theme in order to qualify.
You can find this fabulous manifesto by Holstee HERE.
I will announce the give away winner this coming Sunday....when I post the weekend texture!
Spread the word thru twitter and facebook...pretty please... That'd be totally fabulous!
Okie doke, before we get to linking up.... let's talk next week's TT theme.

We might prepare a second entry 'cos we adore your Autumn Burst texture. Thanks so much!
What a lovely giveaway... oh boy! We are too sleepy to even think, LOL! We'll be back... huggles, and DO ENJOY the last days of summer.... for us too ;)
As far as what I love to do? Take photos of some of my vintage treasures, and then get lost for hours playing with textures with them.
Thanks as always for the lovely textures to feed my creative juices.
And thanks for the linky each week.
xo
I am so thankful to those who have helped me discover this new passion - those online instructors (such as YOU, Kim) under whom I have learned the techniques I use in my art, and my fellow artists, who continue to inspire and encourage me!
Love,
Alexandra
This is my first time participating. Trying to learn about textures.
I love the poster. It speaks volumes!
Some things I love to do: Take pictures, Design Work, but most of all I love to spend time with my kids and seeing them grow.
I love to dance and I love to teach or facilitate to allow people to discover new skills
The words on the poster are beautiful.
I like that poster. My favorite line is the bit about not watching TV . . . I do tend to tell people who complain (always) that they have no time to try to quit the tube . . . even if it is just on weeknights. I work full time in a 'regular' job, have 2 kids in school and other activities, keep the house (relatively) clean, cook dinner most nights in the week (go out sometimes) and I still have loads of extra time to focus on my hobbies. I honestly think that is because I do not watch TV during the weekdays and watch only about 2 hours on a Saturday night--really that simple; at least to me.
There are soo many things I love!
My creative projects, the first hot chocolate of the day, saying good morning to nature and taking a few deep breaths of fresh air whilst standing on the step in my dressing gown! Also helping someone who's suffering to feel a little peace and comfort... grief, I sound like I'm going in for miss world :)))
I love the words on the poster and it always helps to be able to read the things we already know, to bring them back to the forefront of our minds. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Have a great day! Love Ruth xx
I LOVE.
I love that I found this meme and your blog. I love that you offer a few textures for free so a newbie like me can participate. I love that this encourages me to get out and DO some photography.
As to what I love to do... oh my, so many different things, mostly very simple like going for a walk every morning, cooking, baking and then sharing the goods with my neighbors :), watching old movies with my husband, gardening, collecting millions of things, and of course playing with textures (this borders on obsession!).
Thanks again for hosting this great event every week, it's so much fun and so much inspiration for me :)
This has been such a fun adventure learning to use textures. I've always loved taking photo's but using the textures has really helped me THINK about the photo's I take. SO....I guess I could say that I absolutely LOVE using textures! Thanks for bringing this form of creativity to blogland!
Maura :)
Oh, and I love the sign...perfect for this phase of my life! NOW, courage to act is needed! ( "
Thanks Kim
