{Texture Tuesday} The Aurora eDition

mouse over to see the before image

Happy TT my friends!

How are you?

I'm super pumped to see your 'aurora' creations!  I just know you all will not disappoint!

And speaking of not disappointing... Oh my gosh... what a lovely sea of pink we had last week!

completely GORGEOUS!!

Today I thought I'd share one of my fav cups.... my sweet and fab typewriter (it belonged to my grandfather).... and a little dream inspiration....

Here's today's Photoshop Recipe

Opened the image in ACR and tweaked the white balance and exposure.

Moved the image into photoshop and ran Florabella's B/W Platinum action. I reduced the overall opacity of the action to soften it a little.

Added the text. Font name is VT Portable Remington. I set the blend mode to soft light at 100% opacity.

Last but most definitely not least.... I added the Aurora texture at soft light 100% opacity.

The End

So as you know..... this week's TT Challenge is:

Your image must contain at least one layer of the Aurora Texture.

In case you missed it, click HERE to download it.

If you are not on my Texture Lovin' List...  sign on up HERE and get several fab freebies right away!

....

Let's talk, next week's challenge.

What do you say to a something a little different?

A bit of a word prompt....  and you can simply take it from there... add your spin.... have a little fun.

July 26th TT Prompt is: DREAM.

Your image must be centred around the word/verb DREAM.... and contain at least one layer of any of my textures. (don't over think it...just whatever comes to mind.... have fun with it.)

And speaking of DREAMing.... what are you dreaming of these days?

I'd love to know....

Next week, why not come on back, link up your DREAM photo....and share your big and beautiful dreams with us all!!

Are you dreaming BIG these days?

.....

If you are new to THE whole Texture Tuesday Party..... please check out the details HERE.

Al right, let's get this party started....

Link away, my aurora-inspired friends.....

xxo,

p.s. thanks so much for all the kind and encouraging words you left over the weekend.  I feel truly blessed....

when I opened the Cafe page I was surprised to see the typewriter image, as I had chosen that as my subject too. Just happens, while this is not his old one, I have my grandpa's old Underwood. Love the image Kim.

Hi Kim, happy Tuesday! :)
Wow, so many entries already! Here 7 am here in Scotland, and we are just out of DREAM-land ;) but Dream sounds so so very inspiring. BTW, we love-love-love your typewriter! Such a lovely texture work.
Thanks for all the fun!
*huggles* and happy day to you and your family.

Me again, after a big cup of coffee :)
Since hubby and I have moved from Italy to Scotland, I have not slept well or dreamed much. I am dreaming of beaches and sunny places lately. Probably 'cos I am missing the sun so much? We had a long dark wet winter, and spring has been almost non-existent... oh, and the other night I had a strange dream about boats and Jack Sparrow, LOL! Apparently real life followed me in my dreams. A big hug your way!

Your image is beautiful and how lucky are you to have your grandfather's old typewriter! I've never even thought about converting a textured image to black and white, but it looks awesome. I will have to try it.

I am new to the cafe and still trying to find my way around. This is the first time in my that I have actually spent money on tutorials and textures everything I know about photography is self taught and reading my favorite magazine Digital Photo. After having a good look around I decided that this really looked worth my while and the reason why it took so much consideration is because I live in South Africa and had to keep track of the exchange rate anything I see marked in dollars I need to multiply by 8 to work it back to our money. This was the best money I have spent in a long time and I am so happy that I took the plunge. I can not wait for the emails and the classes they are worth every sent and the textures are awesome !!! Thank you so much Kim I am in photography heaven !!!
Kind regards out of Africa
