{Texture Tuesday} The 'And Then Some' eDition

I'm back with another Texture Tuesday!

This week we are keeping it pretty simple!

Here are this week's TT challenge details.

  • Your image must contain at least one layer of my 'and then some' texture.

That's it, that's all!

You may have noticed my lack of an image above.
Can I just go with a general excuse 'parenting'..... the older they get, the bigger the drama...it seems....

Those of you who have 'been there'....done that'.....with a teenager probably understand....

'sigh'..... what a day.....  deep, deep 'sigh'.....

At Camp, Tracey, Jen and Myriam talked a lot about giving ourselves permission....
Well, tonight as the clocked ticked and I was back and forth on the phone ...I simply had to give myself permission to let my TT photo go....and simply get the post up.  I will be honest.... it felt good....to release that pressure.

Perhaps I will get one up in the next day or 2 and link up.... :)

Before we get to linking.... let's talk the next TT theme.

Tuesday, November 8th's TT Theme is:

the number 2. Put your twist on the number 2, and use at least one layer of any of my textures.

New to Texture Tuesdays? Here's the short and sweet TT rules.

  • please link directly to your post, not just to your blog or flickr stream.
  • please link back to the Café. You can grab the TT button HERE, if you wish.
  • please visit the other TT participants and leave them some comment love. Remember it's a party.... and what's a linky party without lots of comment love? Right!

Want more details? Click HERE for the full scoop!

Let's get this party started!!

Shall we?

xxo,

p.s.

Registration for the next round of The Essentials is also open. Get the details HERE.

Thank you for the textures. I loved playing with this one and enjoyed seeing how it differed depending on the background.

Oh yes, I've been there and done that. I hate to tell you this, but it is not necessarily over when they are in their 20's. :) Hang in there....it does get better, if only just a little.

From one Mom to another, I completely understand...and mine is in college! The parenting stress never ends, I'm afraid. ((((Mom Hugs)))). Kim, I want to thank you so much for your video tutorial/info about RadLab over at Shutter Sisters. After watching, I immediately downloaded the demo and am giddy with all it can do. Thank you again!! :)

Hope today is a better day! My oldest just became a teenager and so far, not too much drama, and I'd love it if it stayed that way. :)

Oh Kim, I do so understand about the parenting. I'm glad you gave yourself permission because ultimately that permission is coming from God. He gives you permission to just "be"...and I know as a mother we'll give ourselves the permission and then we'll attach a silent "but" or "until" or some other word that limits the permission. I'll pray today that you accept the invitation to just "be" fully and with the love and peace that God is sending with it. I didn't mean to get so deep, ...it just popped out, so I give myself permission to be bold. :)

Bravo Kim on choosiing "the better" - I love to see your photos, but I really love knowing that you could let it go to take care of a flesh and blood child!
