I'm in love with Christy's beautiful jewelry. I actually have 3 of her pieces....and I love each and every one. I photographed them, so I could share them with you today.

Of course I had to add a little 'texture lovin' to several of the photos..... I used 'music lovin' and 'phoebe' for my edits.....

I choose 'Soar' because it was my very first 'one word' ....and it really did change my life. 'Be Still' is a reminder I need often.....time just to 'be still and trust in God.' And finally, 'inspire'...well because, that's my BIG dream...to inspire others to live a dreamy, creative life.

I usually wear all three, because i just LOVE them all.

ADVENTURE
The first word that popped into my mind for me at this point in my life was "adventure" as we are in the process of relocating from Brussels Belgium to Singapore! I am completely open-minded about this move and view it as an adventure of a life time. Who knows what the next two years will hold for me....
The jewelry is beautiful and unique!

This year I chose the word CREATE as my theme for the year. I am calling it my own personal art school. I have been trying to let go of my need to control an outcome, and just trust the creative process to lead me where I need to go. And it has been frustrating and scary at times, but as the year comes to a close I am seeing a vision emerge for myself as an artist, and it is very exciting. Learning from your site, and now taking the Art of Texture class has been a huge part of this process for me, and I want to thank you for all the information and inspiration that you provide every week.

My one-word "syncronicity" It just pops up every now and then; you'll be thinking of something and someone actually makes mention of it, or you hear it said on the tv. Sometimes something that you hadn't thought about in years! I love syncronicity happening. It's like you're in tune with that other person somehow.

my one word would have to be 'calm'...it is what I find myself identifying most with it this year. The other word would be 'sea'...the sea is my calm. My home's name is Sea Cottage and my Dad's initials are S.E.A. I have a deep connection with both words.

thank you, kim, for your generosity and a chance to win a beautiful piece of jewelry. today i have chosen the words "forgive" and "release" because of several issues past and present that need resolution; mainly it is to "forgive myself" for all that I may have held onto (i.e., abandonment of spouse, life threatening illness a child, aging) in order to "release" anger and stress to become healthier. this is a commitment I must make for myself since my mother's death a few months ago - i am ever thankful for all my blessings; and, you are one of them. your concern and caring for others light up this ever growing circle of friends.

My word for this year was 'Soar'. At first I felt bad because I've been so ill this year that I didn't feel as though I'd been able to 'Soar' in any way but when I look back at some of my accomplishments (like attending an art show and having my work be well received and also having my paintings on consignment at a local store) I feel as though there have definitely been moments where I've been in flight.

'Believe' has also come to be a powerful word for me too. So many people believe in me but I have to remind myself to do the same.

Discover - it was my One Little Word this year.

My word last year was CELEBRATE. I was still working on my dissertation and wanted to give myself motivation to keep going so I looked forward in time to when I would celebrate finishing it and receiving my PhD. It was a tough word, though, because I also knew it was probably my mother's last year because she was battling pancreatic cancer. We had a glorious year celebrating every moment she was still with us. She died in January of this year.

I could barely pick a work this year as I struggled to reconcile myself to a world without my mother. The word TRANSFORMATION kept popping up in my thoughts. I didn't want to transform--I wanted my mother back. But the word kept appearing: on paper, in my mind, in conversations. Finally I accepted it. So this is my year for transformation. Only time will tell how it has manifested.

I actually have two words.....As a mother of four unique and diverse children I often feel like there is just not enough time in the day for me to get everything done. After my eldest was diagnosed with Aspergers' Syndrome and my next eldest child was also diagnosed with special needs, this feeling only intensified. My days were filled with worry, tears, tantrums, and an endless to do list that never got any shorter. I lost faith in my abilities as a mother ,wife, sister, friend and as artist. I felt like all the walls of my once sturdy foundation were crumbling around me. Little did I know that the plans I had for my life were not what my Heavenly Father had in store for me. My "false" foundations had to be torn down to make way for the "true" path he would send me only after I had learned to "BE STILL" And while it is a struggle, I find time every day to remember the truth of those words......"BE STILL"
