Hello my fabulous Texture Tuesday Friends!  How are you?  

I hope well!

Are you ready for another Texture Tuesday Link Up, Blog-Hopping Party?

This week... we are free and easy... share your faved Textured Photo... any theme...any texture...  the skies the limit. 

I took the photo above this past Sunday... a little Mother's Day Drive.... and my oh my did we find some fabulous sights...  more to share soon....

I used the latest Freebie - Trust, along with one of my new May Magic Textures....  And I have to say I love the transformation....

So... here's my recipe..... 

Layer 1 - Background Image

Layer 2 - Trust at soft light 100%

Layer 3 - Hue/Sat Adjustment layer - slightly desaturated the image..... to tone down the yellows.

Layer 4 - Curves adjustment darkened the image and bumped up the blacks a little. I could have done the same thing with a levels adjustment.

Layer 5 - KK1 Texture from the May Magic Collection (see below) Screen Blend Mode 100% 

Layer 6 - Duplicated Layer 5 and added a layer mask to remove a little here and there....

Layer 7 - Another Curves Adjustment - wanted to darken the overall image just a little more.

Layer 8 - Added a new blank layer - and used a soft round black paint brush at 60% opacity... brushed over the areas I wanted to darken (burn).... and changed the blend mode to soft light.  (a fabulous non-destructive burn technique).  This brought out the sky details.... and added overall image depth....

Hello my sweet and oh so FAB Texture Tuesday friends....

I'm so pumped about this challenge...and I can not wait to see what you all come up with this week! I'm seriously impressed with the ART you all are making!!

So, I have to apologize... I wanted to put together a little recipe for this image... but time is short as I prepare this post.... Please be sure to pop back later today. I will update this entry with the recipe. I promise!

Update: I'm back with the as promised Image Recipe.  

Okay, if you have yet to discover Nelly Nero actions... You are in for a TREAT. Click HERE to check them out. I love the time capsule set.

I used one of her fabulous freebie actions, called shabby suitcase on this image.  I then added 2 different textures from The Studio Collection.

Here's how it all went down.

Opened the SOOC image, ran the Nelly Nero action called Shabby Suitcase.  Loved the result. Fab Vintage Feel.

Here's the image after I ran the action.

Then I added 2 layers of one of my all time fav textures - Empty Page (from The Studio Collection). One layer at soft light 100% and one layer at multiply 44%.  

Here's how it looked after the empty page texture was added.

I was about to call it done... happy with the grungy feel....  but thought wait... what if I added a little more GRIT?

Enter another fav from The Studio Collection - Plaster 2. Because the image colors were soft, I thought i would try the color burn blend mode.... on a heavily pigmented image you can get some funky stuff going on.  But with this image it was exactly what I needed.  I bumped the opacity down to 83% and removed a little from the cup. 

Final result.....

and that my friends... was that.

OH and p.s. - I can't take it... I want to visit every single fabulous cup photo....immediately.  'sigh'...  amazing!!!  So good!

Texture Tuesday - and a Little Photoshop Recipe Sharing

Hello my friends!  Can you believe it's Tuesday again? My oh my... the weeks just zip on by!!

I'm so loving Texture Tuesday. You all are amazing!!  Thank you.  I do believe there's a texture love movement taking place. :)

I have been gathering feedback...and it seems the majority love the idea of TT challenges. :) So we will go for a challenge next week....  But for this week....  please feel free to link to any image you have processed with at least one of my textures....

Just a side note: People love to know which texture(s) you used....so feel free to share that in your post. :)

But first, I have a quick and easy recipe for you.  Be sure to mouse over to see the before image.  

Here's how I processed today's teacup photo.  

Layer 1 - Background

Layer 2 - Silence texture at soft light 100% opacity

Layer 3 - SweetTreat texture at soft light 100% opacity

Layer 4 - Levels adjustment - simply bumped up the blacks and the mid tones to add a little contrast after adding two layers of texture in soft light mode.

Layer 5 - my watermark

  Really quick and easy.  

And now for next week's challenge. Drum roll please....
