Sophie’s World ~ Big & Beautiful and Simply Sweet

Hey there, sweet peeps!  How are you?

It’s Thursday already!  Wow, talk about a week zipping by. 

I wanted to pop in and share a few things today.  Before I begin I just have to tell you about my new home.  Have you noticed?  I did a post about my new site and accidentally deleted it.  Oops.  Thank you for the sweet comments that you left.  I honestly didn’t mean to delete the post.  But it’s gone…forever.  Sadness….

Anyhow, back to the new home. I’m using Squarespace for my blogging platform. Oh my gosh!! I’m in LOVE with squarespace!! It has changed my life…..  Check out my gallery!  Totally love the gallery option.  I have some tweaking to do to it and tons to add.  But it’s so user-friendly and just plain fabulous.

Now let's get on with my reason for posting…  Sophie!!  Sophie is my brother’s labradoodle.  And she’s been staying with us this week.  I have to tell you, she has melted our hearts and shown us it is possible to love another doggy again.  As I type this she is sleeping at my feet. I so love having her at my feet as I work.  The sound of her breathing is so comforting.  It’s truly a wonderful thing.

I thought I’d share a little piece of what I like to call ‘Sophie’s World’.  It’s kind of like an imaginary space where everything and everyone is truly good and wonderful.  The littlest things make you happy.  And all is perfect when you are free to love, and hug and romp around. 

In Sophie’s world you don’t walk down the stairs, you bounce down them.  In Sophie's’ world you don’t just lay down, you turn in circles and find the perfect spot.  In Sophie’s world if you are bored, you simply stir things up.  In Sophie’s world there is no time for complaining. In Sophie’s world there is no such thing as etiquette.  If you are happy, you act happy.  If you are feeling crazy, heck just act crazy.  If you feel like sleeping, you simply sleep.  If you feel like eating, you eat.  There’s nothing complicated about Sophie’s world.  ‘Sigh' I think I’d love to take a dive into her world…  wouldn’t you?

So I have to tell you all something.  I said to John this morning.  I don’t want Sophie to leave.  (Her family is coming home tonight.)  I was saying that I just love her fabulous enthusiasm for life.  And I am going to miss her. 

Anyhow, I’m all about things being meant to be.  So I have a little story to tell you. 

Today as I was working away an email popped into my inbox.  It was from my cousin.  A forward from another cousin that lives a few hours from here.  She is looking for a good home for her Golden Retriever/Poodle… which is actually a Goldendoodle.  And well, here’s the thing....up until this week, there was no way John was interested in a big dog like Sophie.  But after having her with us, we have fallen in LOVE!  And so, I don’t know what’s going to happen.  I haven’t heard from the owner, yet.  But let’s just say I put our name in for this puppy.  He’s just 10 months old.   Oh my gosh...cuteness!

I’m so excited. Okay, calming down... :)
