Spring Blossoms - And a Little Give Away ... Just Because

Hello sweet friends.... 

How was your week?

I hope fabulous!!  We are finally getting spring weather.... In fact yesterday was almost HOT. :)

And it was absolutely WONDERFUL.

(I'm going to pretend they are not forecasting rain for the entire May Long Weekend.....'sigh')

Anyhow, I had to pop in and share the first of our little town's blossoms.  Ben and I went biking by this tree yesterday....and I could not believe it!!  The beautiful pink blossoms had started to open..... It's amazing!  Just this past weekend...the tree leaves weren't even open.... 'sigh'.  Ben and I took a drive around town after our bike ride....scouting for other blossoms....but we found just this one tree so far.....

I have no idea who the tree owner's are....but I did sneak a few snaps.....  I am hoping to go back for more.... all shots were taken with the fab 70-200....It came in handy as I didn't want to walk right into their front yard....

Don't you love spring blossoms?  'sigh'...of course you do...  they are sooo very beautiful. Oh my gosh... i can not wait for the lilacs. :)

And while you are here....and placing your 'vote'....  Do Tell! What are your big weekend plans?  Oh, by the way...is it May Long in other parts of the world...or just Canada? I know I ask this every year. :)

I'm pretty sure most of you will have a little more excitement planned than us!  John is on call, so we will be staying close to home....and if it rains.... I suppose the house will be a little cleaner before the weekend ends.... I'm hoping to take my camera to our local greenhouse and snap some pics....  That's always inspiring....

I do have 4 fabulous new books to explore (just arrived from amazon today...perfect timing I must say).... so perhaps next week I will have some reading suggestions for you all!

happiest mother's day

hi there,

how was your saturday?

mine was super FAST.  wow, it seemed to zip by in a blink.

any plans for tomorrow?

seeing as we have been pretty sick around this house,

we are celebrating mother's day with just the four of us.

usually we get together with my brother and his family, my parents and my aunt.

but we really don't want to spread our little family bug.

ugh.

so it's just me and my boys....

not to sure what we will do?

but i do know i will not be cooking.

i've been drooling over the spring blossoms on flickr for what feels like months.

i was sooo very excited today to discover a few trees/shrubs in town had started to bloom.

so i grabbed my camera and tooks some pics.

yay....
