Happy Friday!

Tell me, do you have big plans for the weekend?
I'd love to hear!

We are home all weekend...John is covering call for ambulance AGAIN.
'sigh'.... 

My plan is to get messy..... lots and lots of messy texture making with some fabulous new supplies....

The video camera will be rolling.... making new vids for The Art of Texture class.

I'm so excited about it! Really, truly BURSTING with anticipation.

Oh and the studio redo is done... I can't wait to share pics with you all....  It feels 'just right'... Ya know?

Gosh autumn is in the air around here... I'm almost scared to appreciate the pretty fall colors!
I'm not ready for summer to end. Or maybe I should say... I'm not ready for winter (that really cold season that blows in.... after fall... ugh.....)

Well, I must go. I promised Ben we would sit on the porch and soak up what's left of the afternoon sun. He understands every word I say... really he does.... So I must keep my word.

Hi Kim,
We're not going anywhere or doing anything this weekend. Hubby is working tonight and Saturday night but has Sunday off. He works nights so it's not so bad but he'll be working on the new wiring for the old place and out to his shop so won't have time to do much. Maybe I'll talk him into taking me into the city for a matinee...we'll see. Have fun with your textures...I'm having fun learning to use mine. Thanks to you! Take care.

Have a great weekend. As your summer comes to an end I am looking forward to our summer starting. It is fathers day here on Sunday which means family and a BBQ that will be fun. Enjoy the porch with Ben nothing like spending quality time with a 4 legged friend. Thanks for all your wonderfu videos and textures.

My husband and I went shopping and we found a decoration shop with lovely things in wood and iron.
My TT picture is ready and I'm working on a color storyboard, yours are so beautiful, they inspired me

We are staying in today but going fishing tomorrow or so says my hubby.
Your Ben is just a doll, is he a Golden? I used to have a Golden named Bentley, now I have Rochester that looks like he could be your Ben's twin. You touched my heart when you said you had to keep your word about doing what you said you would with him. *sniff* it almost made me cry and made me think of my Bentley. Yes they are very smart and they really do know what we are saying. Their faces tell us everything. Have a wonderful week-end. Cherish your boy.

Kim, I loved your words on that interview. They are really perfect, and I know I so agree. I sent the link to several of my friends, who feel the way we all do about creating while taking care of our families.

Your work is wonderful. In fact, the house is quiet this afternoon, everyone is out enjoying the day. Me, I just poured myself a second cup of coffee and my plan is to go over to the test kitchen and enjoy some more videos of yours. Maybe I'll even have time to create some art.

Hey there. I live on a dairy farm in the Ottawa Valley. We usually stick around home. Today was extremely hot and humid so the farmer and kids were in the pool a couple of times. I spent the morning getting kids stuff organized for the first day of school on Tuesday, some major cleaning and laundry. The farmer and I dined at the chip wagon, picked up some feed and autumn flowers at the feed store. I got caught up on my Photoshop Essentials class and took a lot of photos today. I have finally figured out how to add textures! Took my dog Ginny for a walk before the sun went down, back the farm laneway. The fencelines are decorated with lots of argiope spiders and their intricate webs. The scent of fresh cut hay smells so good. Monarch butterflies have been hanging out in the treetops past few weeks. Not sure why ... I sat outside and played with the barn cats too. Holidays are just another day on the farm.

I totally agree with you about the autumn, KIm! Autumn is gorgeous here in the Pacific Northwest, but then it's winter and it's not so gorgeous, because it means months of gray skies and cold temps. Difficult for a lady from Southern California to take :~/

BUT, I have decided that I will not let my sixth winter here defeat me! No siree :~) You and Photoshop got me through last winter and I plan to hibernate in front of my computer again this year :~)

As for this weekend~~it's going to be sunny and around 90º! There's a nice Art and Craft show in Downtown Portland, so I might go there. It's tempting to just stay home and Photoshop, but I know I have to get out and try to drink in as much Vitamin D as I can to get me through the winter :~)
