I love this quote and would also like to hang out on your porch! Why do we (I) always feel it is necessary to pay back a good deed, or something that was given without expectation? When I give something, do I expect a return? NO! The feeling of discomfort is always palpable. I am learning smile and say "Thank you!" This is what I expect from others, so why not from myself?
