A Little Homespun Holiday Inspiration

This past Saturday, we went into town to do a little shopping, running around etc. I was shocked by the crowds of people, the crazy parking lots and the jam-packed store aisles. I paused and thought...
'oh RIGHT, Christmas is only a month away!'....

I love the holiday season... but it sneaks up on me..... every single year... 'sigh'

So today, in honor of a little creative inspiration...and a break from sitting at this desk, 14 plus hours a day....for the last several weeks.... I decided to create a homespun holiday moodboard....

This is how I decorate our old house for the holidays.... very 'Country Christmas-ee'.... It goes well with her old bones. (yep, in my mind, our old house, is a girl.... 'smile')

I also love to wrap my gifts with a similar feel. I collect all kinds of homespun goodness.... stash it in jars, baskets and bins.... It was fun to pull my treasures out and create a little holiday story....

Perhaps this will inspire you to make one too....
It's easy-peesy....gather the goodies... cover a piece of foamcore (or whatever you have kicking around) .... and just start laying the pieces out....
If you make one, please come back and share the link. I'd LOVE to see!
xo,

p.s. Happy Thanksgiving to my beautiful American friends.....
p.s.s. Shutter Sisters is hosting the most amazing give away (an ephiphanie bag (i have 2 of these bags and they are BEYOND beautiful), London vs. Paris postcards, a 4 month membership to the Test Kitchen... along with a chance to give back to an EPIC cause. Please pop over and join in the goodness!! You will be so glad you did.
