So Long 2010... So Good to Know You
Fri, December 31

used today's texture on the image above.
Happy New Year....Sweet Friends
How are you?
Can you believe it...another year...come and gone! Isn't it insane how quickly the time just slips on by?
Okay so I think you know... 2010 was a love affair kind of year for me. I so loved this past year.
And the reason being.....almost every single day.... I was doing what I love.... living my passion.... and even getting paid to do it!! How's that for awesome?
So with that said..... not every year is like that... some are down right awful.
But, good, bad or otherwise....it's over....
It's a new year... a clean slate.... a fresh start.... what could be better?
Time to stop hiding behind our insecurities...and start living our DREAMS...

It's going to be FAB...truly FAB!
And as I say this...think baby steps...my friends... baby steps. :)
What do you say? Are you ready to embrace your inner artist..... start feeding your soul.... and believing in EWE?

It's all so very exciting!! (okay so the ewe thing was kinda corny...but i had this sheep pic that Ben and I took on our drive today......pretend it's a ewe...pretend you don't see the horns... okay? .....)
Now how bout a little artful inspiration.....? sound good?
Here's a passage from Julia Cameron's Arist's Way Every Day book ....for December 31st.
"when we say that making art is an act of faith and that as we make art we pursue a spiritual path, we are not talking loosely. there is a grace in our every artistic encounter. Miracles do happen. We do not plan them. We hope for them and then we are open to the creator's mentoring hand in improving our suggestions. What looks difficult or impossible to us does not appear difficult or impossible to the Great Creator. "
Isn't that ... truly inspired?
So ... here's to an ART FULL 2011...and all that it holds possible!

Thank you so much Kim for all the inspiration and the tools to bring our aspirations into reality. You have opened up so many doors for me in terms of my photography and the stories I am eager to tell ...
My word for 2011 is Shine. I feel like 2010 was a year of cleaning away all the gunk that held me back and now I am ready to enjoy my process, enjoy the act of celebration that is making art.
Sending warm thoughts to you ... and to sweet Ben ♥

Thank you so much for the One Single Word texture Kim, I am so going to enjoy using it. 2010 has been a difficult year for me in some ways but a joyous creative and learning year in others, especially since I found your fantastic Photoshop courses. I am looking forward to continuing my journey with your great videos through 2011. Happy New Year and every success to you and your family and especially to Ben :-)
Happy New Year! All the best to you and yours in the upcoming 2011. Lovely free texture! Thanks much.
oh Kim, thank you so much for the inspiration you always provide, and for generously sharing your talent with us.
My 2010 was a great year, even though I went through a divorce and a few other stressful situations. I try to always focus on the positive, and there were so many positives in the year. One big one was finding you!
Cheers to an even better new year!

Kim, Thank you so much for your beautiful textures and your inspiring art. I didn't get my word in to you because of traveling but it is "DISCOVER." I left my full-time job just before Christmas to become a full-time housewife and to explore my photography and other creative ventures. I look forward to discovering myself and the things I love again and to discovering where God will take me and my husband in 2011.
Thanks, Kim for your inspiration in the textures you create and your words of inspiration! I've decided that my word for 2011 is Delight and it comes from my verse for 2011, "Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart." from Psalm 37:4. Here's to a DELIGHTful 2011! Blessings to you! Loved the passage from the Artists' way every day book, btw!
I just started reading your blog in the last few weeks. I am hoping to get out of my own way and truly tap into my own creativity. Thank you so much for your inspiration!
Hi Kim,
I really enjoy reading your blog. I was going to sign up for the class for my birthday but maybe I'll throw caution to the wind and see if I am picked. While 2010 was not an awsome year for me I really feel that 2011 will be great. I am looking forward with eager anticipation to what will unfold this year. Thank you for all your free textures and your joy filled words. Here's to 2011!

Artful and inspired? Hmmmm.
This has been a difficult year for me (us), but it *was* better than 2009! Unfortunately, due to the stress of the season (I'm sure), I am very sick! Ugh! I haven't thought of anything artful or inspired in *days*! It's ALL about the tissues for now! :D
Thanks for another great texture and a chance to win a spot in your ecourse! I always feel inspired just by stopping by your blog. Happy New Year - enjoy your cozy night at home. That is just what I plan to do too! :-)
Hi Kim-
I am so happy that I found you. I took your free skinny mini course so far and have learned so much. I am still pretty new at Photoshop but with each passing day I learn more. I really don't know what to do with textures so it will be good to learn all about them. Thanks for giving us the oppurtunity to win.
Have an enjoyable evening snuggling up to Ben.
I hope you have a happy, heathly, and prosperous 2011.
My best- Diane
Thanks, Kim, for the chance to win a spot... I've learned so much from you this past year, and I'd love a chance to learn more :)
My word/concept for the next year is 'action'... last year's word was 'believe', and now I feel like it's time to put some feet to my new beliefs!
Thank you for your awesome textures and a very Happy New Years! I'm so happy Ben is doing well. I lost my faithful dog last year and I know what it feels like. Keep up the good work!

Happy New Year to you and your family! Love that photo and comment about the ewe (no horns - LOL!). So glad that Ben is healing nicely. Thank you so much for that gorgeous texture and a chance to join your eCourse! Am taking one of your eCourses now and learning so much! When I have a chance to digiscrap and develop my own backgrounds and elements, there is such a happy feeling of satisfaction and contentment - great comfort for the soul!
I think my word for 2011 is going to be 'change'. Unless I 'change' it to something more fitting. I really need this coming year to be productive in many ways! And taking your Photoshop class in January is the first thing I'm learning in order to do some changing in my photography!
Thank you for your sharing and generosity! There is always so much inspiration here!
Happy New Year!
I am so glad I found you and your textures, But more for your inspiration and motivation to begin to believe that I am an artist. I have done morning pages before, and I really want to start again. My desire this year is to become a better photographer. I have been in Photoshopland almost exclusively for two years now ( I design scrapbook kits), but I am determined to get back into the real world again, and take some photos I can be proud of. So thanks for all you've helped me with, Kim. I wish you and Ben and your family a blessed New Years.
Thank you so much Kim for this beautiful texture, love all the words - I think I would be very happy with my next year's leading word being "enjoy"... I just need to slow down, look around and really enjoy what life has to offer me :)
Thank you for being such a wonderful and strong inspiration, your classes opened a whole new world to me.
Happy New Year and all the best wishes to you, your family and Ben!
Thank you so much for the free textures. You are too kind! Also, thank you for all you've taught me and I'm looking forward to more classes in 2011. Love to you and Ben!
My word for 2011 is "aspire". I shall aspire to be more than I was last year, and all I can be this year. I will challenge myself to learn more about photography and photo shop. I have an amazing photographer locally, that is giving me private lessons, so its promising! Thank you Kim for being my inspiration!
I would love to win one of your classes. I really am enjoying the skinny class and I so appreciate all of your help. Thanks for all you do. I created a pic I really like today using the info from the first 2 lessons.
Such wonderful inspiration! To you and yours - best wishes for the up and coming new year. May it be filled with laughter and light..and all things creative!!!
(And - I just love the Julia Cameron quote. Simply perfect!)
Thank you for the beautiful texture and for a chance to win a spot! Happy New Year and wishing you all the best in the coming year.
Thanks Kim for your generosity. I love all your free textures and use them often in my photo work. Oh, how they can enhance such an ordinary picture. Your blog has been wonderful inspiration to me this year. I wish you much happiness in the upcoming year.
Thank you for your generosity and inspiration throughout the year! Happy New Year, Kim!
