Ben Needs Your Prayers

OH my dear friends....
My sweet Ben was hit by a truck today......
He has fractured his pelvis in several spots.....
The outcome is up in the air.
They are keeping him over the weekend for observation. The first concern is nerve damage. If that's the case there is little they can do for our sweet boy.
If there isn't any nerve damage he will either need major surgery in a city 3 1/2 hours from here.... or it is possible that he could heal on his own.
It's all so up in the air. We will know more tomorrow.
Just the thoughts of our little guy all alone at the clinic about does me in.... 'sigh'
Your thoughts and prayers would be deeply appreciated...

Oh no! I'm SO sorry to hear of this. I've been through a similar experience and have so much sympathy for you both. From my experience, I would only say, do what is best for Ben rather than for yourself. In hindsight we put our dear dog through a difficult operation because of our needs to keep her alive - and perhaps prolonged her suffering. I send you both love and light. Be strong. Am so hoping for good news for you both!

So sorry to hear about Ben. I am praying that he will recover. I have had a similar situation. My dog was run over by a truck and had her pelvis broken in 3 places. She was in terrible pain and was scheduled for a very serious surgery. The morning of her surgery, the vet decided to take some more x-rays. He called us and told us that her breaks were starting to fuse back together and he felt the surgery would be un-needed. We would have to keep her still for six to eight weeks and we had to carry her hind end with a blanket when she needed to relieve herself. We kept her in a crate for all those weeks and kept a very watchful eye on her. Then lots of swimming was her therapy. It was a very difficult time, but she recovered beautifully. She had her before and after x-rays taken to a veterinary conference because they were so amazed by her recovery and 2 beautiful healthy litters of pups later on. She lived to be a very happy 14 year old. Ben has his youth on his side. Keep up the positive thoughts.
