random rambling
tonight i seem to have so many thoughts zipping around in my mind an once. some of them are BIG awesome thoughts....others are just little this and thats.
first and biggest is.... i'm so amazed at how God works in our lives. how mind blowingly brilliant he is. this past few years have been a real test of faith in our family. i kept wondering where God was? why wasn't he helping us? after a series of life altering events, that seemed to be so hopeless, God made a miracle in our lives. i know now God was in control the whole time. i'm sure God had a lesson for each of us in this house, and maybe even many others around us. i think my biggest lesson is to trust in God, completely. no matter what.
second and totally random. you know the expression, watching paint dry? well i have been literally watching paint dry with great enthusiasm tonight. i tried a new product by decoart (texture crackle) on a canvas yesterday. and the result was fabulous. so tonight i used it again and then just sat there waiting for the results. it's really cool stuff... seriously, you gotta give it a try. :)
another little random, ramble. today i was over at my elderly neighbours, vacuuming her rugs. she has a 12 year old kenmore vacuum and wow, does that thing have some great suction. we have a dyson, that i love,
but john says it needs a new powerhead. it doesn't seem to be able to pick up the dog hair from our area rug. so after i finished at my neighbours, i borrowed her kenmore and vacuumed our area rug. wow... what a difference. it looks like new! i'm so happy! again, i say... it's the little things.
finally, on my way to the trail tonight, i saw my good friend, prairie girl. our visit was way to short, as darkness comes much quicker these days, and sophie and i had to get in and out of the trail before dark. it was so nice to visit with her. she's such an inspiration. her blog is absolutely lovely. please pop over and visit her. you will be so happy you did.
okay, i was really planning on getting to bed before midnight. but here i sit at 12:12 am. time to shut this down.
oh, i have a few more back to school kindness projects in the works. i will let you know how they go.
the response to the willow sign online workshop has been great. i am hoping a few more will join. but i trust, in whatever happens.
happy sunday, my friends.... til next time....

hello dear friend ~ it was indeed and always is so wonderful to visit with you ... even when sophie is doing her antsy dance to get going!! gosh, she is adorable ... but not nearly as much as her 'aunti' who ALWAYS warms my heart ...
sometimes i have to take time in commenting ... like i was so taken with your image here ... the image of those little boys melted me ... why has this stage of the game hit me so hard? i'm better now, but that last week and yesterday were heart tugging ...
thanks for always being there,
prairiegirl
I never noticed this, Kim!!!! Thank you so much for featuring my pic ;o)
It was taken at our gas station's customer appreciation day last summer. i know, it's small town...the things we do cannot be explained, lol! they have a dunking tank every year and a booth where you can get $.50 hotdogs. i love it and always go just to document it!
