daily #6 & happy thanksgiving

 

i know i said i was done with coffee for a bit….but i had to do this one.  and i may have to do a companion as well. 

this design is a mixed media painting.  i used layers of paper, paint, several different mediums, ink and pastels. i’m  happy with it so far, but i may “’tweak” it after i let it sit for a bit.  it has a somewhat “grungy” feel, which i am really digging these days.

oh and  look at the lovely blue jays, that i saw thru my studio window this morning.  arent’ they gorgeous?  :)

before i sign off for today, i want to wish all of my fellow Canadians a most happy and joy filled thanksgiving.  many blessings to all….

Oh Kim, these keep getting better and better. Love the grunge look. I really enjoy mixed media, I think it takes the ho-hum out of the same old thing all the time routine. Yes I agree this needs a comanion.
You can keep the snow, it was chilly out today, got more wood in for the winter. Turkey at MIL's tomorrow.

thank you so much. it's quite a change, but i'm loving it. i've fallen for mixed media art. it's so much fun....and ya never know what you may end up with...
we are having dinner here tomorrow with just us, today was dinner at my mil's but poor old andy (our beagle) wasn't well, so he and i stayed home... and ate left overs... haha.. but that's okay. it's been a nice quiet day.
